COMPREHENSIVE DENTAL EXAMINATION

COMPLETE ORAL PROPHYLAXIS

•Plaque and tartar can lead to red, swollen and bleeding gums, either on brushing or spontaneously at night

•Scaling of gums and teeth ensure healthy gums and teeth

•Polishing is done afterwards for a smoother feeling and easier brushing

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

•Carious or decayed teeth due to bacteria can result in pain, sensitivity and food lodgment

•These teeth are restored with tooth-colored fillings to re-establish function, form and esthetics

ENDODONTIC THERAPY (ROOT CANAL THERAPY)

•Teeth with deep decays and severe lingering pain need a root canal often

•Root canals are performed by cleaning and filling the roots with an inert rubber-based material

•Root treated teeth are often brittle thereby requiring a small screw (to hold the restoration) and a crown but is dependent on the extent of tooth destruction

PROSTHODONTICS

•Both removable and fixed prosthodontics are fabricated by our labs to restore function, form and esthetics

•Removable dental prosthesis made with metal and acrylic is made, used for both children and adults; and fixed dental prosthesis such as crowns and bridges are also made

•Complete acrylic dentures for the old-age are also fabricated

ORTHODONTICS

•Orthodontic treatment is used to straighten crooked teeth for better esthetics and function

•Both children and adults are good candidates for this therapy

•We offer metal braces, ceramic braces (tooth-colored) and clear aligners

•Cleft lip and palate patient which often require orthodontics after multiple surgeries, is also done by us

ORAL SURGERY

•This involves tooth extraction (both simple and surgical) under local or general anesthesia such as extraction/removal of retained roots, wisdom teeth, cysts and failed root treated teeth requiring surgery (apicocectomy)

•Patients are kept under observation until symptoms disappear and patients regain consciousness

PERIODONTICS

•Gum disease that does not go away by oral prophylaxis and continue bleeding, may need a periodontal surgery whereby gums are lifted away to perform thorough cleaning and gums are reshaped to make it easier to clean and maintain better gum health

•Gum disease can also result in bone destruction and tooth mobility so we perform surgery to place bone and prevent tooth loss

IMPLANT DENTISTRY

•Implants are titanium screws that are surgically fused to the jawbone and a crown or bridge is placed on top of it; provided that you have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant

•Furthermore, meticulous oral hygiene and regular dental visits are critical to long-term success of dental implants
